Elon Musk and Grimes, who’s real name is Claire Boucher, have publicly announced that they have a third child together. Musk and Grimes have had a very public and very messy relationship. They have been on and off again for a couple of years now, showing that the news of another child being born to the couple is not entirely unexpected.
Musk and Grimes started dating in 2018. According to page 6, the two began their relationship through Twitter, now owned by Musk and renamed X. They had a mutual understanding when Musk was allegedly about to tweet an AI joke, but Grimes beat him to it. Since then, the couple had a tumultuous relationship. But their personal feelings towards each other were so strong that in 2020 they had their first son, whom they named X.
They might have disagreements, but one thing is for sure, they are one in naming their children some out-of-the-box names. As evidenced by their first child’s name, which is just a single letter, X, Musk and Grimes did not shy away from weird words to call their children. Just a year after their first child was born, the couple welcomed a second child whom they named Exa Dark Sideræl.
However, after the birth of their second, the tech billionaire and Canadian singer announced that they had broken up. So the news that they have a third baby together shook the world. It is unclear when the couple welcomed their new baby because there was no announcement that the on-and-off couple was expecting an addition to their brood.
Elon Musk secretly welcoming a child is not news, however. Back in 2021, just before Grimes had their daughter Exa, news outlets reported that Musk had twins with the Neuralink Director, Shivon Zilis.
Musk and Grimes are winning the naming category for parents as they announce that their youngest child is named Techno Mechanicus. According to sources, the two have nicknamed Techno as “Tau.”
Tau is the newest addition to Elon Musk’s family. Overall, Musk has 11 children from three different women. He and his ex-wife, Justin Wilson, welcomed their first child, Nevada, back in 2000. However, their eldest child, unfortunately, succumbed to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDs, at only ten weeks old.
But Wilson and Musk wanted to have more children, so they had an IVF procedure that gave them twins, Griffin and Vivian. The exes also welcomed triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian in 2006.
Then in 2020, after two years of dating, Elon Musk and Grimes welcomed their first child, X. The following year, amidst his turbulent relationship with Grimes, Musk announced the existence of his twins with the new relink Director, Shivon Zilis. After that, he welcomed his daughter Exa with Grimes, and now, as youngest son Tau. Tau brings the number of his children to 11.
