There is “No Further Hope” for Tom Sizemore After Tragic Brain Aneurysm

Tom Sizemore’s family is left with the heart wrenching choices that come with end of life care as his doctors have told them that there is no hope for recovery.

Sizemore, who suffered a stroke and subsequent  brain aneurysm on Friday, Feb. 18, has been hospitalized in critical condition and fell into a coma in the intensive care unit, is no longer expected to make any sort of recovery.

According to the Mayo Clinic, brain aneurysms occur when a blood vessel within the organ bulges and can suddenly leak or rupture, causing blood to be released into the brain.

In a statement to Yahoo News, Sizemore’s manager, Charles Lago, said “Today, doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision.” He added, “The family is now deciding end of life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday. We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

The actor, 61, is known for his roles as McKnight in Black Hawk Down and Sgt. Horvath in Saving Private Ryan, True Romance, and Natural Born Killers.
