Following King Charles III’s coronation at Westminster Abbey, Prince Harry chose not to stay around.

According to reports from BBC News and various other sources, shortly after his father King Charles III, and stepmother Queen Camilla’s coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6th in a momentous ceremony, Prince Harry left the location, got into a vehicle, and drove to Heathrow Airport.

Multiple reports indicate that he had arrived in London one day before. While his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, four-year-old Prince Archie, who was celebrating his fourth birthday on the same day as the coronation and 23-month-old Princess Lilibet, stayed in California where they reside. The occasion happened amidst a conflict between the Duke of Sussex and his father, step-mother, and brother, Prince William, all of whom he had censured in his book, “Spare.”

Prince Harry sat in the third row at the coronation, two rows behind his brother William, and had no official role in the proceedings. Over an hour later, after the ceremony’s conclusion and Harry’s departure, Charles and Camilla were accompanied on the Buckingham Palace balcony by various members of the royal family, including William, his wife Kate Middleton, and their children: nine-year-old Prince George, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte, and five-year-old Prince Louis.
