BLACKPINK’s Jennie Makes Runway Debut Closing Jacquemus’s ‘La Casa’ Cruise Show.

Jennie Kim has added another fashion feat to her list of accomplishments. On June 10, 2024, she officially debuted as a runway model at Jacquemus’s “La Casa” cruise show.

This event marked the brand’s 15th anniversary and took place on the rooftop of Casa Malaparte, a stunning cliffside house with breathtaking sea views on the Italian island of Capri.

The show attracted a star-studded audience, including celebrities like Dua Lipa, Peggy Gou, Arón Piper, and Manu Ríos.

She completed her ensemble with the brand’s new Le Rond Carré bag in light turquoise, featuring golden hardware. She styled her hair in a low chignon adorned with a silver hair clip, adding a touch of elegance to her look.

They kept Jennie’s appearance at the “La Casa” cruise show under wraps until the event. Speculation began when candid photos of her surfaced in Capri, suggesting her possible involvement.

As a close friend of the maison, Jennie has attended previous Jacquemus shows, initially leading fans to believe she was merely a guest this time as well.

However, rumors about her participating in the show gained traction on June 9 when people spotted her rehearsing with Jacquemus. Jacquemus further fueled the speculation by releasing promotional images featuring Jennie posing at Casa Malaparte.

In the images, she sported the same hairstyle she wore during the show, black sunglasses, and a red towel styled as a dress.

Although this was Jennie’s first major runway appearance as a model, it wasn’t her first foray into the fashion world.

She has previously starred in high-profile campaigns for brands like Adidas, Gentle Monster, Calvin Klein, Chanel, and Jacquemus, among others.

Jennie’s participation in Jacquemus’s “La Casa” cruise show marks a significant milestone, making her the second member of BLACKPINK to walk in a major international fashion show. Lisa had her turn with Celine in 2021. This event showcases Jennie’s versatility and solidifies her status as a fashion icon. It’s model Jennie’s world, and we are just living in it.
