Justin Bieber has canceled the entirety of his world tour.
The news comes months after he developed a number of health issues in June 2022, which left his face partially paralyzed.
The 29-year-old singer first announced he would take a break from performing in June, one month after his tour began, due to having Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a rare nerve disorder. He later resumed touring towards the end of July.
However, the pop star has officially pulled out of his Justice world tour after going to Europe and performing six live shows, which “took a huge toll” on his health.
The tour’s official Twitter page announced the cancellations of the final shows on Tuesday, February 28th, and said that ticket holders would automatically receive a refund.
“Justin Bieber has officially CANCELLED the remaining dates of his ‘Justice World Tour.’ Check in with your point of purchase for refunds for your show dates.”
All concerts in the US, Poland, Ireland, Australia, the Czech Republic, and Denmark are also shown on the ticket company Ticketmaster’s website as canceled. According to event organizer Live Nation Tero, Bieber’s show in Bangkok, Thailand, has also been canceled.
Bieber and his reps haven’t provided an official reason for the cancelation.
Bieber was scheduled to perform in London in February. Fans received an email from the events company AXS, relaying the cancellation news.
“We regret to inform you that the Justin Bieber shows planned to take place at The O2 arena have been canceled,” it said. “We understand you will be disappointed and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Many fans have expressed their sadness regarding the official cancellation.
“I just wish he didn’t say it was only postponed. This would have been my second time seeing him as I have already seen him in Glasgow for the Purpose tour, so I was looking forward to seeing him in my hometown in Aberdeen,” said Cade Harper, from Aberdeen, who got tickets in November 2022 as a Christmas gift from a family member.
“[Not gonna lie] what hurts the most about JB canceling Justice tour [right now] is that I ain’t seeing my mutuals. I was so looking forward to creating cute memories with y’all.. stanning Justin really brought so many special ppl into my life, and for that, I’m forever grateful no matter what,” one fan tweeted.
The tour has amassed over 55 million dollars (£46 million) in revenue over the past year. However, fans continue expressing their dismay online that they have not received previously promised refunds.
