The 31-year-old singer didn’t hold back and called out the audience at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles for not immersing themselves in the song.
While singing “Flowers,” Miley noticed that the crowd wasn’t as lively as she expected. She sang, “I can buy myself flowers / Write my name in the sand,” and then asked, “Why you acting like you don’t know this song?”
Trying to pump up the energy, Miley Cyrus encouraged the audience to sing along. Some stars like Taylor Swift, Kelsea Ballerini, and Chrissy Teigen joined in, bringing some excitement to the moment.
But Miley didn’t stop there. Towards the end of the song, she changed the lyrics to celebrate winning her first Grammy, specifically the Best Pop Solo Performance. This was a big win for Miley, beating out tough competition from Taylor Swift, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo.
The Grammy Awards turned out to be a fantastic night for Miley, who had a total of six nominations, including Album of the Year. Her album faced strong contenders like Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts.”
