Selena Gomez’s New Music Hints Sparks Excitement Among Fans

Selena Gomez enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation as signs point towards a potential release of new music.

The intrigue began with the discovery of a freshly launched website, illbesinglesoon.com, prominently featuring the phrase “Single Soon?” in bold red letters. This site is linked to Interscope Records, the record label associated with the celebrated “Wolves” musician.

What further solidifies the connection to Gomez’s impending musical endeavor is the presence of links to her official social media channels at the bottom of the page, along with an option for fans to subscribe to news updates. Apart from the website, fans have encountered enigmatic flyers bearing the same “Single Soon?” message, scattered throughout various U.S. cities.

These flyers include a contact number that fans dialed, unveiling a cryptic audio snippet, “Hi sissy. Never worry about boyfriends. At all,” featuring what appears to be Gomez’s younger sister, Gracie Teefey, 10, followed by a tantalizing snippet of a potential new song.

The anticipation has been building since June, when Gomez shared a series of monochromatic Instagram photos, including an image of her recording vocals with a sheet of paper in hand. Accompanying the images was the caption, “Don’t worry guys, it’s coming. Even from Paris.”

Selena’s last full studio album, “Rare,” debuted in 2020, followed by her Spanish-language EP, “Revelación,” in March 2021.

Earlier this year, Gomez candidly spoke with Vanity Fair, unveiling her upcoming musical direction. She hinted at a more spirited and honest approach, crafting music inspired by her real-life experiences.

“The music I’m doing right now is about real things that I’m walking through,” she disclosed. “It’s really powerful, strong, very pop. The theme generally is freedom — freedom from relationships, freedom from the darkness.”

Expressing a desire to uplift her audience, she mused, “If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile.” This revelation comes after the release of her previous single, “My Mind & Me,” nearly a year ago, coinciding with her documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.” The documentary provided an intimate glimpse into her struggles with body image, lupus, and ongoing mental health journeys over the past six years.
