Teachers Say Students Will Have a Hard Time Transferring from Kanye West’s Donda Academy

A teacher suing Kanye West’s Donda Academy has spoken out about the students being deprived of an education. But transferring to a better school will not be the best solution.  The kids aren’t being graded at the unaccredited school so transferring could be problematic.

Former Donda teachers Cecilia Hailey and her daughter are suing the school for wrongful termination. They are claiming they were fired for drawing attention to issues including poor education quality, safety and health violations, unusual rules, and their race (both women are black).

The teachers also pointed out that the only thing the kids were given for lunch was sushi which they had to eat on the floor with no tables and chairs. West reportedly spent $10,000 a week on sushi to support the meal plan.

Here are some other odd rules Kanye imposed at his school:

The teachers also claimed their paychecks were short up to $2700 per pay period. They are blaming their termination on retaliation and racial discrimination. Hailey also mentioned that the curriculum stayed away from important topics like the Holocaust, and they didn’t even celebrate Black History Month.

Although Kanye is not solely responsible for the issues, he is being targeted in the lawsuit.
