He labeled the the comprehensive list of charges brought forth by a Fulton County grand jury as an attempt to hinder his potential candidacy in the upcoming election, and remarked that “the ongoing witch hunt persists.”
Mr. Trump is facing 13 charges, which include accusations of racketeering, submitting falsified documents, and endeavoring to coerce public officials into breaching their commitments, according to official legal documents.
This represents the fourth substantial legal accusation against Mr. Trump within the span of just a few months, and the second one directly linked to his activities during the 2020 election.
Donald Trump has said that he will share a never-before-seen report that will prove the recent claims of election fraud are “baseless.”
“A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11.00am on Monday of next week,” Trump stated.
Former President Donald Trump and his 18 co-defendants (including his former lawyer Rudy Giuliani, top former Justice Department official, Jeffrey Clark, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows) will be taken to the Fulton County Jail to be booked, as well as have their fingerprints and mugshots taken, said a statement by the sheriff’s office. However, the presiding judge may decide that the arraignment be held virtually.
The booking and arraignment processes in criminal cases operate separately in Fulton County, the sheriff’s office commented. They went on to state, “Keep in mind, defendants can turn themselves in at any time. The jail is open 24/7. Also, due to the unprecedented nature of this case, some circumstances may change with little or no warning.”
