Tucker Carlson’s Shocking Exit from Fox News: Last Words “We’ll See You Monday’ Leave Viewers in Suspense

In a surprising turn of events, Tucker Carlson, the controversial and widely watched right-wing personality, has announced his departure from Fox News.

The news came just days after he signed off his final episode, leaving viewers with the impression that he would be back the following Monday. But instead, the network and Carlson “have agreed to part ways,” as Fox News announced in a statement on Monday morning.

Carlson’s final show on Friday included a memorable segment where he ate pizza with a guest before bidding farewell to his loyal audience. Now, with his departure, Fox News will be airing an interim show called Fox News Tonight, which will be hosted by a rotating cast of personalities until a new permanent host is found.

The news of Carlson’s exit has sent shockwaves through the media landscape, leaving many to wonder what led to this sudden decision. As one of the most polarizing figures in American news, Carlson has drawn both praise and criticism for his outspoken views on politics and culture.

Tucker Carlson’s Controversial Stance on Politics: A Look at the “Great Replacement” Theory

Tucker Carlson, the conservative commentator and former host of “Fox News Primetime,” has long been known for his controversial views on American and global politics.

In 2021, Carlson brought up the “great replacement” conspiracy theory during his show, which claims that immigrants and people of color are taking over the white population in the United States. This sparked a major backlash, as the theory is widely considered to be racist and baseless.

During his show, Carlson referred to President Biden’s comments from 2015 about Caucasians being “an absolute minority in the United States of America.” He then went on to state that “non-white DNA is, ‘the source of our strength,’” which he claimed was language reminiscent of eugenics.

Carlson’s remarks were widely criticized, with many accusing him of promoting white supremacy.

Despite the backlash, Carlson continued to speak about the “great replacement” theory on his show. However, a year later, he feigned ignorance about the matter, claiming that he was unsure exactly what the theory was and that it came from “the left” in order to “change the racial mix of the country.”

While Carlson is no stranger to criticism for his viewpoints, and once again, his show landed him in the midst of another controversy, this time from the White House. As a result, the incident fueled the ongoing debate regarding Carlson’s impact on shaping public discourse and the constraints of free speech in the media.

Tucker Carlson’s False Portrayal of the January 6 Insurrection Sparked Further Controversy

Tucker Carlson often used his show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Fox News as a platform to share his highly controversial opinions on politics and race, but his false depiction of the January 6 attack on the Capitol put him at odds with the White House.

Carlson had been given security footage of the insurrection by White House speaker Kevin McCarthy, but he only shared hand-picked moments of the riot that made it seem like a peaceful protest. This drew condemnation from the White House, with spokesperson Andrew Bates stating that “Tucker Carlson is not credible.”

Senator Patty Murray also called out Carlson for his lack of journalistic integrity. “They have to tell the truth…They owe it to the people they cover, and the viewers who trust them,” she declared.

“I’m not saying reporters have to be utterly objective, or neutral, or impersonal. I’m not even saying they have to be right 100 percent of the time — no one is,” Murray said via her Website. “But they have to tell the truth … They owe it to the people they cover, and the viewers who trust them … And yet, as the Dominion lawsuit is showing, Fox News has been utterly failing to meet it.”

The controversy surrounding Carlson’s false portrayal of the insurrection has only added fuel to the ongoing debate over the role of the media in shaping public opinion. As the Dominion lawsuit against Fox News unfolds, it remains to be seen how much accountability the media will be held to for their coverage of the events of January 6.

Tucker Carlson’s Involvement in Dominion Lawsuit and Harassment Allegations

Tucker Carlson was among several hosts who claimed that the 2020 election was rigged and that President Joe Biden was falsely awarded votes over former President Donald Trump.

Dominion Voting Systems, the software and hardware company used during the election, sued Fox News for defamation, resulting in a settlement of $787.5 million before the case went to trial.

It remains unclear whether Carlson was fired or left Fox News on his own accord, but his departure was announced a week after the settlement was reached.

Furthermore, Carlson was also named in a lawsuit by his former senior booking producer, Abby Grossberg, who accused him of harassment and sexism.

Grossberg claimed that Carlson altered images of former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, to make her appear in a bathing suit and committed other misogynistic actions in the workplace. Grossberg was fired in March after alleging that the network pressured her to lie in the Dominion case.

Carlson’s future with Fox News remains uncertain, but his controversial behavior may have been the final straw for the network.
